Grab a cheap pizza and a drink at Doka Pica. The restaurant opens at 10:00, so this is well within hours for an afternoon start.

Walk 2 minutes to Karosta Prison. Spend some time looking at the military heritage and the prison cells before the light changes.
16:30
Walk 60 minutes south along the promenade to the Amber clock. This is a sundial-shaped design object made of thousands of amber pieces. Arrive just as the sun sets toward the SW to see the amber glow in the fading light.
17:00
Walk 3 minutes to Valhalla Wine & Coffee. Enjoy a drink in the cosy antique-filled space or the outdoor garden as the evening settles in.
Local tip
The walk from the prison to the Amber clock is long (60 minutes). Start early enough to enjoy the prison without rushing the sunset view.
