Timeline
15:45
Pick up a warm drink at Valhalla Wine & Coffee. The café is filled with cosy antique furniture and is just a short walk from the theatre. It is open until 23:00, so you have plenty of time to settle in before heading out.
16:10
Walk six minutes northwest to the Amber clock on the promenade. This sundial-shaped design object is made from thousands of pieces of amber. Arrive here early to claim a good viewing angle as the light begins to shift.
16:30
Watch the sunset. On 15 January the sun sets toward the SW at 16:30. The golden light starts around 15:17, leading into the final colors of the day. The amber pieces will catch the fading light beautifully.
17:00
End your evening at Peter’s market. It is a twelve-minute walk from the theatre area. The indoor and outdoor sections are open until 18:00 on weekdays, or 14:00 on Sundays. You can grab a late snack or browse the craftworks and amber souvenirs before the market closes.
