Start at the Leipziger Buchmesse. The fair is a large event, so use the surrounding area to stretch your legs and get your bearings before heading south.

Walk 13 minutes to Bäckerei Hantschke. Grab a warm pastry or a coffee to take with you. It is open until 17:00 on weekdays, which gives you plenty of time before the sun goes down.

Continue your 40-minute walk south to Abtnaundorfer Park. This is a large green space. Find a bench or a quiet spot facing southwest to catch the final light.
16:30
Watch the sun set toward the southwest. The sky will turn pale and the park will quiet down as the winter evening sets in.
17:00
Walk 6 minutes to Gartenlokal "Alt-Mockau". It is open from 12:00 to 20:00, so you can arrive just as the sky is getting dark. Order a dinner and a drink in the garden or indoors.

End the night with a drink at Mockauer Treff, a 9-minute walk away. It stays open until 24:00, so you can linger as long as you like after the meal.
Local tip
The walk from the fairground to the park is long (over an hour). Take your time and enjoy the transition from the busy fair area to the quiet park.

- Bäckerei Hantschke is open Mo-Fr 05:30-17:00. On Saturdays it closes early at 11:00. On Sundays it is only open 07:00-10:30.
- Gartenlokal "Alt-Mockau" is open We-Su 12:00-20:00. It is closed on Mondays.
- Mockauer Treff is open Mo-Sa 14:00-24:00. It is closed on Sundays.
