Walk the Tumwater Pipeline Trail. Go down the path to the non-descript parking on the river side, not the bridge. Enjoy the easy walk along the mighty Wenatchee River.

Head to The Gingerbread Factory for a warm cup of coffee and assorted gingerbread or cookies. The fairy-tale cafe is a perfect spot to rest and refuel before continuing your walk.

Walk across the bridge to Blackbird Island. This park offers a peaceful place to unwind in nature, watch the water, and look for eagles or ospreys along the river.
Local tip
The Gingerbread Factory is open from 08:00 to 18:00, so you have plenty of time to stop for coffee and treats in the early afternoon. Blackbird Island is connected by bridge to Enchantment Park and Waterfront Park, making it an easy addition to your walk from the trail.
