Climb the wooden Sauvabelin tower for the view. Arrive early enough to walk up and find a spot before the crowd. The tower is open until sunset, so you will have time to enjoy the final minutes of daylight.
17:12
Watch the sun dip below the horizon toward the WSW. The sky will shift from blue to gold. Stay for a few minutes to let your eyes adjust to the dimming light.
17:42
Walk down to Pinte-Besson for dinner. As the oldest restaurant in Lausanne, it offers classic Swiss cooking in a warm, neighborhood setting. It is open until midnight, so you have plenty of time to settle in and eat without rush.
18:42
Finish the evening with a drink at Café du Château. The Brasserie serves its own 100% natural ginger beer and has a kitchen for late bites. Service is at the bar, which adds to the lively pub atmosphere.
