Arrive at Kuta Beach to watch the turtle release. Volunteers protect eggs and release hatchlings back to the sea. The release happens at 16:00 when there are enough hatchlings. Arrive early to find a good spot on the sand.
17:30
Walk to Bagus Pub, a favourite drinking den for locals and travellers. It is a great place to watch the world go by and enjoy the late afternoon atmosphere before the evening crowds arrive.

Stay at Bagus Pub to watch the sunset. The pub is open until 00:00, so it is a comfortable spot to relax as the sun sets toward the WNW at 18:15. Enjoy a drink in the breezy outdoor setting.
Local tip
The turtle release time is fixed at 16:00, but it only happens on days when enough hatchlings are ready. Check with the volunteers upon arrival to confirm if a release is scheduled for that day.
