Grab a beer at Christianssand Brygghus. This micro-brewery and pub opens at 15:00, so you will have plenty of time to settle in before the sun starts its descent. The charcoal grill barbecue is a good way to start the evening.
21:35
Head up to Høyt & Lavt Kristiansand. The climbing park sits by lake Grotjønn in a hiking area. You can take bus 19 to Suldalen from the city centre, or check the route if you are walking. Arrive here to enjoy the views as the golden light hits the trees and water.
23:20
End the evening with a traditional Norwegian meal at Bønder i byen. Located near Baneheia, this regional restaurant serves meat or fish and stays open until 22:00, giving you enough time to digest the sunset views and enjoy a proper dinner.
Local tip
The sun sets toward the NW on July 15. Make sure your spot at the climbing park faces that direction for the best light.
