    Krakow-Plaszow concentration camp

Start at the Krakow-Plaszow concentration camp. Walk the grass fields and hills, visiting the large stone monument and the villa of Amon Göth. This is a solemn place; keep your voice low and move at a respectful pace.

  2. 14:29

    Krakus Mound

Walk 17 minutes NW to Krakus Mound. Climb the artificial mound for a view over the area. The silence here is heavy, contrasting with the ancient history of the site.

    Gorąco polecam

Walk 8 minutes to Gorąco polecam. This patisserie is open until 19:00, so you have plenty of time. Grab a pastry and a coffee to enjoy while the day winds down.

  4. 15:36

    Krakus Mound

Return to Krakus Mound for the final stretch. Sit on the edge or walk the perimeter as the sun approaches the horizon. The WSW sunset direction aligns with the view from the mound's western side.

  5. 16:06

    Krakus Mound

Watch the sunset at 16:06. The golden light from 15:11 has already warmed the landscape, but the final moments offer a stark, beautiful contrast against the memorial grounds in the distance.
