09:00
Grab a coffee and pastry at Botanicafé, just a minute's walk from the entrance. It is the perfect way to start your visit with a local treat while the garden is fresh and quiet.
09:15
Enter the Botanical Garden. Spend the next two hours exploring the outdoor trees and the greenhouse with tropical plants. Since you arrived at opening time, you will have the place mostly to yourself before the midday crowds arrive.
11:15
Walk 6 minutes to Camelot for lunch. This medieval-themed pub serves traditional Slovak dishes like pork knuckle or goulash. It is a bit expensive, but they offer lunch specials on weekdays, making it a sensible stop after your garden walk.
Local tip
The garden closes early in winter (15:00), so check the opening hours for your specific date. Camelot is closed on Sundays, so if you are visiting on a weekend, consider Pub u kohuta nearby instead, which serves similar Slovak cuisine and has a nice terrace in summer.
