    Sree Krishna Cafe

Grab a battoora and cutlet at Sree Krishna Cafe. This Gujarati spot is just a nine-minute walk from the Thirumala Devaswom Temple, making it a perfect pre-sunset snack before you head out.

  2. 17:52

    Fort Kochi Beach

Walk northwest to Fort Kochi Beach. The twenty-seven-minute stroll takes you from the temple area to the historic shoreline. The beach has shrunk since the 2004 tsunami, but the small walkway still offers a clear view of the water.

    Fort Kochi Beach

Watch the sun sink toward the WSW. On this date, the sky turns gold around 17:52, leading to the final sunset at 18:22. The beach provides an open, unobstructed view of the event.

  4. 18:42

    Chez Teapot

End your evening at Chez Teapot. This café is only five minutes from the beach and stays open until 21:00, giving you plenty of time to enjoy a pot of tea and dessert as the night settles in.

Local tip

The walk from the temple to the beach takes nearly half an hour. Start early enough to enjoy your snack without rushing, but leave enough time to reach the water before the golden hour begins.

Check before you go

  • Sree Krishna Cafe does not list opening hours, so verify they are open for evening snacks before you go.
