Enter Oji Zoo as it opens. The mini amusement park is best enjoyed when the rides are fresh and the lines are short. Arriving at opening ensures you get the most out of the animal exhibits and the rides for young children before the midday rush.

Walk seven minutes to Kōhī Eruta for a coffee break. This spot is perfect for a mid-morning rest. Note that this café is closed on Tuesdays and weekends, so check that it is open on your visit day.
11:00
End your trip at World End’s Garden, a bookshop just six minutes from the zoo. It is a quiet place to browse and reflect on the morning before heading home.
Local tip
Oji Zoo closes at 16:30 in the summer months and 16:00 in winter. If you plan to stay longer, keep the earlier opening time in mind.
Check before you go
- Kōhī Eruta is closed on Tuesdays and weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Plan your visit on a weekday between Wednesday and Friday.
- Oji Zoo hours are 09:00-16:30 from March to October, and 09:00-16:00 from November to February.
