Walk five minutes to a pleasantly airy, blue-tiled riverside restaurant just past Village 1. Order Thai basics like noodles or som tam for around 30 baht a dish. It is a relaxing place to sit and enjoy your lunch.

Finish your meal and walk ten minutes to Wat Chimpli Suttahawat. This temple on the east bank features a beautiful small chapel in very good condition. It is a good point to turn around if you are not planning to make the full circuit of the island.
Local tip
The café closes at 18:00 and the restaurant is open until 23:00, but for a morning plan, aim to arrive at the café before it gets too busy. The restaurant has no English menu, but some English is spoken.
