Timeline

  1. 12:15

    Constant Spring Golf Club

Arrive at Constant Spring Golf Club when it opens. The 18-hole course designed by Stanley Thompson in 1920 is a great place to start the day. You can pay the green fee and explore the grounds, or just enjoy the quiet morning atmosphere near the clubhouse and pool.

  2. 14:15

    Scotchies

Walk four minutes to Scotchies for a snack or drink. It is open from 11:00 to 23:00, so it will be ready for you by mid-morning or early afternoon depending on your pace. It is the closest eatery to the golf club.

  3. 17:15

    Uptown Manor Park

Head to Uptown Manor Park, which is just an eight-minute walk north from the golf club. This is the closest viewing spot to your anchor. Arrive here an hour before the golden light begins to find a good spot and relax.

  4. 18:15

    Uptown Manor Park

Watch the golden light wash over the landscape. On 15 July, the sun sets toward the WNW, and the golden hour starts around 18:15. The park offers a peaceful view as the light changes.

Local tip

Uptown Manor Park is the nearest park to the golf club, making it the most efficient stop for the golden light viewing. Scotchies is open late enough that you can linger there after the golf course if you prefer a later start.
