Find the Wolfwalkers mural. This piece features the main characters from the movie 'Wolfwalkers' and was made as a tribute for the Kilkenny Animated festival. A few young people helped paint this mural, adding a local community feel to the art.
Local tip
The walk between the Kilkenny Cat and the nearby art pieces is short and easy. If you want to extend your walk, St Canice's Cathedral & Round Tower is a 14-minute walk west, but the core trail stays close to the center.
Check before you go
- The Grapevine is open Mo-Fr 17:00-22:00 and Sa,Su 12:00-22:00. Since we start at 13:00, this works perfectly for Saturday or Sunday. If you are visiting on a weekday, consider Matt the Millers (open 12:00-23:30) or Rinuccini (open 12:30-14:30, 17:00-21:00) for lunch instead.
- Public art is accessible 24/7, but checking the weather is always wise for an outdoor walk.
