Cathedral of the Transfiguration
Walk to the Cathedral of the Transfiguration. Stand in the square and look out toward the Amur River. The cathedral’s golden domes will catch the last bright light of the day as the sun sets toward the NW.
20:37
Move down to the City Beach on the River Promenade. This is the best spot to watch the sunset. The beach is hugely popular on warm summer days, so expect a crowd of sunbathers and pedestrians enjoying the view.

Head to Тепло for dinner. It is an Italian pizza restaurant open until 23:00, perfect for a late meal after the sunset viewing.
Local tip
The sun sets toward the NW in July, so position yourself facing northwest from the City Beach or the cathedral square for the best view. The beach gets crowded, so arrive early to secure a good spot on the sand or the promenade edge.
Check before you go
- Check the opening hours of Тепло (11:00-23:00) to ensure you arrive before they close.
- City Beach is open to the public, but be aware it is a public space on the riverbank.
