Walk 19 minutes SSE to Gaidara Children's Park. The park is opposite the large Dynamo park to the north. The area has several cafés and a small roller-coaster, but the open space is perfect for watching the light change.

Stay at Gaidara Children's Park. At 16:39 on 15 January, the golden light begins. The sun sets toward the WSW, casting a warm glow over the park's trees and the nearby water ponds of the adjacent Dynamo Park.

Walk 21 minutes SSE to Dynamo Park. This large park is immensely popular with locals on sunny days. The water ponds to the south are a quiet place to cool down and reflect on the day.
Local tip
The zoo is way out in the northern suburbs, but for this sunset plan, stick to the central parks. Check the route if you need to get to Gaidara Children's Park from the city center.
