Timeline
17:38
Walk down to the Kenosha North Pierhead Light. The 48-minute walk from the anchor is long, so start early. Stand by the red tower and watch the sky change color as the sun dips toward the west. The open water gives you a clear view of the sunset direction.
18:08
Head to the Waterfront Warehouse. It is a 10-minute walk from the area near the anchor (and a reasonable distance from the pier area for a post-sunset dinner). The warehouse-themed interior and dimmer lighting fit the evening mood. Order their specialty fries with various toppings and a burger. They are open until midnight, so you have plenty of time to linger.
18:53
Finish the night with a drink at La Fogata Mexican Grill. It is located just across the street from the Waterfront Warehouse area. The atmosphere is excellent with dimmer lighting, perfect for winding down. Order a margarita to go with your late-night bite. The restaurant is open until 22:00, so ensure you arrive before then.
Local tip
The walk to the pier is long. If you start from the anchor, allow 48 minutes each way. The sunset is the key moment, so time your arrival at the pier to be there about 30 minutes before the sun sets to catch the golden light.
