Timeline

  1. 09:00

    Lamee Coffee

Grab a coffee and settle in. Lamee Coffee is just a short walk from the Communal Buddha Park area. It opens early and is a reliable spot to start your day with a warm drink and a moment to breathe before heading out.

  2. 09:40

    Garden of Dreams

Walk to the Garden of Dreams. This beautifully renovated walled garden offers a serene escape from the surrounding city noise. It is a perfect place to relax in the shade, enjoy the quiet atmosphere, and let the morning light fill the space.

  3. 10:40

    Pilgrims Book House

Browse Pilgrims Book House. Located near the Garden of Dreams, this is the largest and most well-established English language bookshop in Kathmandu. You can spend time exploring their extensive sections on Buddhism, including a dedicated room for Vajrayana texts, or their encyclopedic selection on other subjects.

  4. 11:20

    Mandala Book Point

Visit Mandala Book Point. A short walk away, this shop is probably the best source for reference materials, academic texts, tourist books, and maps. It is also a center for publishing books on the sociology, anthropology, culture, politics, and history of Nepal.

Local tip
