Head to the Kamniška Bistrica spring area. The sun rises at 07:40, so arriving an hour early gives you time to find the spot and settle in before the light changes.

Walk into Predaselj valley. From the spring, cross the bridge over the river and turn right onto the road after about 50 meters. Follow the road until you pass the next bridge, then take the footpath on your left. This path follows the river down the valley toward the picnic point.

Watch the sunrise. The sun sets toward the WSW, but the early morning light will illuminate the steep, narrow rock walls of the valley. The golden light starts around 15:53, but the sunrise at 07:40 offers a crisp, clear start to the day.

Find breakfast or coffee. Since there are no food or drink shops listed in the immediate context, check the route back toward Kamnik town for open cafes or bakeries that will be ready after your morning walk.
Local tip
The walk to Predaselj is a bit more than 1 km from the spring. Wear sturdy shoes for the footpath following the river.
