Start with a pre-dinner shisha and hummus at Al Jazeerah Signature. The restaurant opens at 08:00, so you have plenty of time to settle in before the evening rush. The fragrant rice and pita bread are a reliable way to begin your walk.

Walk to the Farmer Statue. The Russian-created monument stands near the Aryaduta Hotel. Arrive an hour before sunset to find a good angle. The statue commemorates the struggle for Independence by Indonesian farmers and their family, offering a solemn backdrop as the light begins to soften.

Watch the sun set toward the WSW. At 18:15 on 15 January, the golden light fades quickly. Stay for the final moments of the day as the statue shifts from gold to shadow. The crowd is typically light here, allowing for quiet reflection.

Head to Ya-Udah Bistro for dinner. This budget-friendly spot serves European specialties with a focus on German breads and pork. The old interior is charming and the price point (Rp40,000–90,000) is reasonable. It is open until 22:00, giving you time to eat and relax.

End the night with a drink at Bakoel Koffie. As Jakarta’s oldest coffee roaster since 1878, it offers a historic atmosphere. Open until 24:00, it is a perfect place to digest your meal and enjoy the city’s coffee heritage.
