Timeline

  1. 09:00

    White Snake Museum

Walk into the White Snake Museum right at opening. The early hour ensures you have the space to yourself as you learn about the white snakes that are considered messengers of Benten. Note that attendants may encourage a small donation for the English pamphlet.

  2. 10:00

    Shokujidokoro Musashi

Take a short walk to Shokujidokoro Musashi for a break. With over 100 flavors of ice cream available, it is the perfect spot to cool down after your museum visit. Remember to bring yen, as they do not accept cards.

  3. 10:30

    Kikko Park

Finish your morning with a walk to Kikko Park. This green spot is just a short distance away and offers lovely flower gardens. If it is summer, the large sprinklers provide a refreshing soak, but in spring, it is a popular spot for cherry blossoms.

Local tip

Check the opening hours for Shokujidokoro Musashi as they close at 17:00. If you plan to visit the ice cream shop later in the afternoon, ensure you arrive before then.
