Grab a drink at Karga, a finely decorated bar in a three-storey old building with wooden ceilings and floors. The small yard at the back is a nice spot to wait out the early evening.
19:36
Walk to Süreyya Opera House. This 1927 Beaux Arts building was styled on European theatres. From 2007 it was rebuilt to its original purpose and now hosts ballet, opera and classical music. You can see the structure clearly before the lights go up for the evening.
19:56
Head to Özgürlük Parkı. From here, the sun sets directly behind Süreyya Opera House on 02 May to 09 May and 03 Aug to 10 Aug. Find a spot in the park to watch the final moments of daylight.
20:31
End the evening at Yoğurtçu Park, a short walk away. It is a quiet green space in Kadıköy where you can decompress after the crowd disperses from the viewing spot.
