Timeline

    Adam Mickiewicz Museum

Start at the Adam Mickiewicz Museum. This historic house museum is free and open from 09:00 to 19:00. It is a quiet, reflective space dedicated to the Polish poet who lived here in 1855.

  2. 11:30

    Haci Abdullah Lokantası

Walk eight minutes to Haci Abdullah Lokantası for lunch. This is one of the best Ottoman restaurants in the country, serving very traditional foods. No alcohol is served. It is open from 11:00 to 23:00 daily, making it perfect for a midday meal.

  3. 12:30

    Maçka Park

Take a 25-minute walk east-northeast to Maçka Park. The park occupies the sides of a valley with an avenue at the bottom. You can see a 4-person gondola lift line strung over it, which offers a shortcut when walking between Beşiktaş and this area.

Local tip

The museum is free, but check if you need to book ahead for large groups. The walk to Maçka Park is pleasant but takes some time, so allow for the full 25 minutes.
