Enter Sam Poh Tong at opening. The air inside Ling Sen Tong is thick with joss stick smoke, creating a distinct atmosphere. Move through to Nam Thean Tong to climb the stairs. The effort is worth it for the clarity of the view from the top of the limestone hill, away from the haze below.

Walk ten minutes to Kafe Lake View. It is open from 09:00, making it a convenient spot to pause after the climb. Order a drink and sit back to let the adrenaline settle before moving on.
11:00
Head to Kek Lok Tong, a twenty-seven minute walk from the anchor in an ESE direction. This newer cave temple feels airier and cleaner than its neighbors. The views here offer a different perspective on the same limestone formation, completing the circuit with a moment of calm.
Local tip
Sam Poh Tong closes at 2:15 PM, so plan your climb and the subsequent stops to finish well before then. The walk between the coffee shop and Kek Lok Tong is substantial, so wear comfortable shoes.
