Walk across South Terrace to the Innamincka Golf Course. Enter through the Innamincka Hotel to get guided directions. The grass is surprisingly green for the outback. Spend the last minutes of daylight walking the fairways or just sitting on the edge of the course to watch the sky change color.

Innamincka Town Sunset Lookout
Head to the Innamincka Town Sunset Lookout (18-minute walk from the golf course, NE direction). This is the moment. The sun sets toward the WSW, offering a clear view of the day ending over the flat landscape.

Return to the Innamincka Hotel for dinner. After the walk back, enjoy a full meal. The hotel is the central hub for the town, so it is the natural place to end the evening with a drink and a conversation with other travelers.
Local tip
The golf course is free if you stay at the Innamincka Hotel, but you must enter through the hotel to get directions. The Trading Post is an alternative for quick snacks if you are not hungry yet, but the Hotel is the place for a proper evening out.
