Arrive at Lake Magic. Pay the entry fee at the Resort kiosk and walk around the edge of the salty pools. Avoid driving onto the lakeside as the ground is soft and towing out is expensive. Be aware that mosquitoes are active here, so bring repellent.

Walk 24 minutes southwest to Wave Rock Wildlife Park. Find a quiet spot in the bush park to sit and enjoy a lunch or snack while watching the kangaroos, koalas, and other animals.

Return to Lake Magic for a final look as the light changes. The water reflects the sky differently later in the day, offering a fresh perspective on the landscape left by the ancestral snake.
Local tip
The mozzies at Lake Magic are a pest. Bring strong insect repellent and wear long sleeves if you are sensitive.
