Start the hike at To Tei Wan. Take the number 9 bus from Shau Kei Wan MTR Station to the stop just after the small roundabout. Walk up the steps by the "Shek-O Country Park" sign and turn right along the Hong Kong Trail. The ridge offers spectacular views of the south of Hong Kong Island.

Finish the hike at Big Wave Bay Beach. This is the natural end of the Dragon's Back trail where you can swim, eat, and drink. The beach has barbecue pits and is managed by the LCSD.

Grab a slice of pizza and a doughnut at Dough Bros. Pizza & Doughnuts. It is a reliable spot to refuel before heading to the final viewing point. It is open until 22:00.

Walk to Stanley Main Beach to watch the sun set toward the WSW. The beach is a popular spot for wind-surfing and hosts annual dragon boat races. Facilities include a café, changing rooms, and showers.

End the evening at The Smugglers Inn. This British-style pub is located on the sea front along the Stanley promenade. It serves a range of beers and traditional English pub food with a great view of the ocean.
Local tip
The Dragon's Back ridge has little shade. Take a lot of water and protection in summer. The number 9 bus returns you from Big Wave Bay to Shau Kei Wan.
