Timeline

  1. 17:00

    Yung Kee Restaurant

Grab a quick bite at Yung Kee Restaurant. The roast goose is famous, but arriving early ensures you get a seat before the evening rush. It is open until 23:30, so you have plenty of time.

  2. 17:20

    Hong Kong Park

Walk to Hong Kong Park. It is a 22-minute walk from the Hong Kong Police Museum, but since you are coming from Yung Kee, the path is straightforward through the Central streets. Head for the L16 cafe and bar area. This is one of the few spots where you can sit outdoors away from the traffic noise.

  3. 18:00

    Hong Kong Park

Watch the sun set. The sky turns deep orange and purple as the sun dips below the horizon toward the WSW. The park offers a rare moment of calm in the busy city center.

  4. 18:30

    The Wanch

End your evening at The Wanch. It is a short walk from Hong Kong Park. If you love music, this is the place. Live bands play every night, and it is open until 03:00. It is a great way to transition from the quiet of the park to the vibrant night life of Hong Kong.

Local tip

The walk from the museum to the park is pleasant but can be busy. Keep an eye on your belongings in crowded areas. Yung Kee can get packed, so ordering quickly is key if you want to make it to the park in time for the best light.
