Timeline

  1. 17:00

    65 Peel

Grab a locally brewed beer at 65 Peel. The bar opens at 16:00, so you will have plenty of time to settle in and watch the afternoon bustle from the window before the sun begins to dip.

  2. 17:30

    Central-Mid-Levels Escalator

Walk to the Central-Mid-Levels Escalator. You have 30 minutes before the golden light hits. This is the perfect time to ride the escalator uphill from the busy streets toward the quieter, upscale residential neighborhood at the top. The system runs uphill from 10:30AM to midnight, so it is fully operational.

  3. 18:00

    Hong Kong Park

Head to Hong Kong Park for the sunset. The park is located 17 minutes from the escalator anchor. Find a spot near L16 cafe and bar. This is one of the few places where you can eat and drink outdoors away from the traffic, offering a clear view as the sun sets toward the WSW.

  4. 18:45

    The Wanch

End the evening at The Wanch. This bar is known for live music every night and is a good spot for music lovers. It is open until 03:00, so you can stay as long as you like after the dark has fallen.

Local tip

The escalator runs downhill from 6AM to 10AM and uphill from 10:30AM to midnight. Make sure you board the correct direction. For the sunset view, Hong Kong Park offers an outdoor setting away from the traffic noise.
