Timeline

  1. 14:45

    Hong Kong Park

Walk through Hong Kong Park. Head straight for the L16 cafe and bar on level one. It is one of the few places in Central where you can sit outdoors away from the traffic noise. The park is quietest in the late afternoon before the evening rush.

  2. 16:30

    Yung Kee Restaurant

Have lunch at Yung Kee Restaurant. This is a popular spot for Cantonese-style roast goose and century eggs. Go early to make a reservation because they are known to run out of geese.

  3. 17:30

    Kowloon Park

Walk to Kowloon Park. This former British barrack site has pleasant gardens and is only a short walk from the Central area. It offers a clear view of the skyline across the water.

  4. 18:00

    A Symphony of Lights

Watch A Symphony of Lights. The show starts at 8PM. The narration is in English on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. You can download the app for your preferred language. The sun sets at 18:00, so the city lights will be turning on around this time.

Local tip

Kowloon Park is a quieter alternative to the main viewing areas. The walk from Hong Kong Park to Kowloon Park is short and easy.
