Grab a coffee or light lunch at Caffe Ponte. The terrace offers a clear view of the Peace Park and the Motoyasu River, setting the scene before the crowds arrive. It is open from 08:00 on weekends.

Walk five minutes north to the Peace Memorial Museum. Spend time inside absorbing the history. The museum is open until 18:00 in October, giving you plenty of time to visit before the evening rush.
17:21
Head to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. Find a spot near the riverbank facing west. As the sun begins its final descent toward the WSW, the golden light reflects off the water and the iconic Aioi Bridge structure.
18:06
End the evening at the Kanawa oyster boat docked just south of the park. The traditional decor and river views are especially lovely at night. Dinner service runs from 17:00 to 21:00 on weekdays.
Local tip
The museum can be emotionally heavy. Use the golden hour in the park as a moment of reflection before dinner. Check the route for walking directions between the museum and the park if you need assistance.
