Grab a coffee or a light snack at Dudok. The classic and jazz music sets a calm tone as you prepare for the walk. It is open until late, so you can easily fit this in before the light changes.
15:25
Walk to Het Gezin. This bronze group of a man, woman, and sleeping child is the focal point. The man carries the child and looks at his partner, while she looks forward. Stand back and watch how the golden light catches the metal surfaces.
16:12
Head to the nearby bronze sculpture of a woman kneeling with a bird on her hand. The light here is softer, perfect for a quiet moment of reflection as the day winds down.
16:42
End your evening at De Jonge Haan. This upscale brasserie is open late and offers a relaxed atmosphere to decompress after your walk. You can walk in at any time, making it a stress-free finish.
Local tip
The golden light starts around 15:57 in January. Arriving at Het Gezin just before this time lets you see the sculpture transform as the sun dips toward the SW.
