Timeline

  1. 14:00

    Sinisen huvilan kahvila

Start at Sinisen huvilan kahvila. This outdoor café offers fantastic views over the Töölönlahti bay. Grab a coffee and soak in the atmosphere. It is open until 22:00 during summertime, so it is perfectly open at this hour.

  2. 14:45

    Kuu

Walk to Restaurant Kuu. Since 1966, this spot has served Finnish specialties in the bohemian Töölö district. The menu features a well-regarded smoked salmon soup and a decent wine list. Arrive before 23:00 when they close on weekdays, or before 23:00 on weekends. It is open from 16:00 on weekdays and 14:00 on Saturdays.

  3. 15:45

    Eläintarha

End your visit at Eläintarha. Despite the name 'Animal Garden', there is no zoo here. Instead, this park surrounds many of Helsinki's sport venues, including the Olympic Stadium and the Swimming Stadium. It is a quiet place to take in the architecture and green space.

Local tip

Restaurant Kuu is open from 16:00 on weekdays, so arriving for a late lunch or early dinner works well. The walk from the café to the restaurant is short, keeping the route tight and easy.
