Timeline
18:41
Pick up a warm pastry or a quick bite at Famia Sushibar before the evening chill sets in. It opens at 10:30 on weekdays and 12:00 on weekends, so you will have plenty of time to grab something before heading out.
18:56
Walk 18 minutes to the Rhododendron park. Arrive just before the golden light begins to soak the Haaga district in a warm glow. This is the quietest time to wander the university’s research garden and see the blooms without the weekend rush.
19:41
Stroll 18 minutes back toward the center to the Pet Cemetery. Sit for a moment in the shade of the trees at Central Park. The atmosphere is peaceful and respectful, a quiet pocket of history in the middle of the green space.
20:11
End your walk with a relaxed dinner at Tandoori Villa. It is a 15-minute walk from the cemetery and stays open until 21:00, giving you time to enjoy a meal as the summer evening light fades.
Local tip
The Rhododendron park is best visited in early to mid-June, but in April it offers a serene, green escape. Check the opening hours of your chosen eatery, as some close earlier on weekends.
