Timeline

  1. 08:30

    Parque Guayasamín

Start your morning at Parque Guayasamín. It is a quiet park with a 13-minute walk from the Cristo de La Habana. Arriving early helps you avoid the largest crowds and enjoy the space before it gets busy.

  2. 09:15

    Factoría Plaza Vieja

Walk 4 minutes to Factoría Plaza Vieja for a drink or light snack. This brewpub on Plaza Vieja opens at 12:00, but you can arrive early to secure a spot. It serves beer cocktails and a meat-based food menu.

  3. 10:00

    Central Park

Head to Central Park. This central square is one of Havana’s most known sites, located between Prado, Neptuno, Zulueta and San José streets. It is a good place to rest and people-watch in the shade.

  4. 10:40

    El Floridita Bar

End your walk at El Floridita Bar. This historic bar is a short walk from the park area. It is famous for its atmosphere, which has remained largely unchanged since pre-Castro days. Note that their daiquirís are considered mediocre by some, but the vibe is the main draw.

Local tip

Central Park can get crowded. If you prefer a quieter lunch, consider Factoría Plaza Vieja earlier in the sequence. Always check if bars have closed for the day, as some may have variable hours.

Check before you go

  • Factoría Plaza Vieja opens at 12:00. If you arrive before then, you may need to wait.
  • El Floridita Bar has no listed opening hours, so check locally for current closing times.
  • Central Park is an open public space, accessible at all times.
