Walk along Zhongyang Dajie. The cobblestone street and its Baroque and Byzantine façades catch the golden light beautifully. This is the perfect moment to take in the architecture before the sun dips.

Head to Zhaolin Park. It is a pleasant stroll from the street. In winter, this park houses ice sculptures, but even in the off-season, it offers a nice green space to watch the day end.

Dinner at Old Changs Spring Cakes. Return to the Zhongyang Dajie area for a staple of the northeast. Order plates of meat, potato stripes, and soy sprouts to stuff into the pancake-like bread. It is tasty as hell and a true local experience.

End the night with a drink at Cafe Russia. The owner has created a high-class atmosphere with elegant furniture, tasteful music, and a working grandfather clock. It is a fantastic spot to relax after dinner.
