Timeline

  1. 16:20

Quán Bánh Cuốn Nóng Gia Truyền

Start with a light, local breakfast. Quán Bánh Cuốn Nóng Gia Truyền serves steamed rice rolls and other Vietnamese dishes from early morning until late evening. It is a reliable spot to fuel up before your walk.

  2. 16:50

    Hồ Chí Minh Mausoleum

Walk to the Hồ Chí Minh Mausoleum. Arrive well before the sunset moment to absorb the scale of Ba Dinh Square. Remember the dress code: no shorts above the knee and no exposed shoulders. You can take photos outside, but not inside the tomb.

  3. 17:35

    Lenin Statue & Park

Head to the Lenin Statue & Park, just a short walk southeast from the Mausoleum. This is your viewing spot. As the sun sets toward the WSW, the golden light will wash over the square and the surrounding architecture. The park offers a lively atmosphere with locals exercising and relaxing.

  4. 18:20

    Mien Man Cafe

End your evening with a drink at Mien Man Cafe. Located near the Lenin Statue & Park, this multi-storey art-themed cafe has balcony tables that offer views back toward the cathedral and the surrounding area. It is a calm place to unwind after the square has emptied out.
