Timeline
07:04
Arrive at Webster's Falls Conservation Area before dawn. The $10 per car fee applies, so keep your card handy. Park and head straight for the staircase down to the base of the falls. It is treacherous, so use caution in the low light.
07:49
Stand at the base of the falls or near the cobblestone arch bridge for the sunrise view. The sun rises toward the WSW, illuminating the 30 m wide cascade. If you have the energy, walk over to Tew's Fall to see the wider gorge.
08:49
Head back up to the parking area and drive to a nearby spot for coffee or breakfast. Since there are no food or drink shops in the immediate conservation area context, check the route to the nearest open cafe in Hamilton for a post-hike meal.
Local tip
