   Beatles Square

   There is a sculpture honouring the Beatles. Also in the Reeperbahn area are clubs where the Beatles played at various times from 1960 to 1962, including the Indra club and Star Club.

   Café Chrysander

   Cafe and restaurant at the edge of Bergedorf Castle Park with lunch, breakfast buffet, home made cakes and a range of special coffees. In the evening the place becomes a cultural club with regular concerts, movie presentations and lectures.

   Feldstraße Bunker

   Right at the Heiligengeistfeld is a World War II bunker, visible from far away due to its size. Nowadays the building houses different media companies and agentures, and there's a dance club on the upper floor.

   Gun Club

   Grungy but friendly punk bar in a cellar just off the Davidstraße. Came second in Hamburg Mexikanercontest (Mexikaner is a shot drink very similar to a bloody mary), and it shows - definitely the recommended drink here.

   Hamburg Museum

   former: Museum für Hamburgische Geschichte

   Holstenwall, close to Underground station "St. Pauli". This is the museum of city history, bringing the past to life with a lot of models showing the development of the harbour and the city. The club "MEHEV" is showing a 40-year-old and one of the largest scale model railroads here.

   Reeperbahn

   A street and entertainment district in Hamburg's St. Pauli district, one of the two centres of Hamburg's nightlife (with Schanze) and also the city's major red-light district. In German it is also called die sündigste Meile (the most sinful mile) and nicknamed Kiez. The Reeperbahn Festival is among the largest club festivals.

    Relaxed bar covered in Hunter S. Thompson quotes with atmosphere to match. Small dance floor with DJ who plays everything from psychedelic jazz to German hip-hop. Excellent selection of gin&tonics.

    Supper Club

    Supper Club's name doesn't give you any clues about this business. It hires canoes and all manner of other unpowered water craft by the hour. When you have finished paddling you can eat at the outdoor cafe if you wish. A 2 hour paddle using one of their suggested itineraries through small canals and lakes takes you past some of Hamburg's most elegant homes, You will definitely want to move there after this paddle (whether you have the money to buy a mansion in northern Hamburg is beyond the scope of this entry)! The canoe hire side of the operation only takes cash and requires a passport or photo ID to be left with them as security. The ferries from the city centre to Winterhuder Fahrhaus offer great views of the Alster lakes but the Supper Club paddle is superior so you could probably skip the ferry trip if you plan to do the paddle.
