Grab a pastry and coffee at Kjeks. It is the closest spot to the park entrance and opens early enough for a pre-sunset treat.

Walk 9 minutes ESE through Hamburg Stadtpark. The park is large and open, offering a clear view of the sky as you approach the center.
16:30
Arrive at the Hamburg Planetarium. Head straight to the observation deck in the former water tower. At 16:30, the sun sets toward the SW, providing a perfect view from this vantage point.
17:00
Walk back toward the park perimeter to Kafaya’s Café & Spécialités. It is open until 18:00, so you can still get a warm drink or light meal while the evening settles in.
Local tip
The observation deck is a popular spot. Arrive early to secure a good position on the railing.
