Walk 41 minutes from the park center to Alsterpark. Find a spot on the west side of the Alster. This is the best vantage point to watch the sun set toward the southwest.

The sun hits the water. Enjoy the golden light and the view of the lake as the day ends.

Walk just 2 minutes to Alster Cliff. It is a nice place to stop for a final drink or a light meal with a good view of the Alster. The atmosphere is relaxed as the evening sets in.
Local tip
The walk from the central park area to Alsterpark takes about 40 minutes. If you want to shorten it, check the route for a bus or tram from Hamburg Stadtpark to the Alster area.
