14:00
Arrive at the Riepenburger Mühle when it opens for the afternoon. The mill is a sturdy brick structure built in 1828, standing in for a site that has held windmills since 1318. It is a quiet place to start your visit before the afternoon crowds arrive.
14:15
Head into the mill’s café for a coffee or a light snack. The shop and café inside the historic building offer a comfortable spot to rest and reflect on the history of the site.
14:45
Walk over to the nearby former warehouse. Inside you will find an interesting shop displaying local art. It is a short walk from the main mill building and provides a nice contrast between the industrial architecture and contemporary creative work.
Local tip
The mill is only open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 14:00 to 18:00, and on the first and third Sundays of the month from 13:00 to 17:00 between April and October. Make sure to check the calendar before you go so you do not arrive on a closed day.
