Timeline
16:15
Arrive at Hamamatsu Flower Park. With 9 minutes of walking from the anchor, this is the perfect pre-sunset stop. Wander the gardens filled with 3,000 types of flowers and enjoy the expansive grounds while the light is still bright.
16:45
Find a quiet spot in the park with a view to the west. The park’s open spaces offer a clear line of sight for the sunset. Relax and watch the sky change colors as the golden light fades.
17:00
Watch the sun set toward the WSW at 17:00. The sky will turn deep orange and purple over the flower beds. Take a final photo of the fading light before it gets dark.
17:30
End your evening with a drink or snack at the park’s restaurant. The shopping area is also open if you want to browse for souvenirs before heading back to the bus station.
Local tip
The park is well-lit in the evening, but bring a light jacket as it can get chilly after sunset. Check the bus schedule if you plan to return to the main station after dark.
Check before you go
- Hamamatsu Flower Park has a restaurant and shopping area that remain open after sunset.
- The zoo (anchor) has special evening hours in autumn, but this plan focuses on the park which is suitable year-round for sunset viewing.
