Grab a quick bowl of ramen or gyoza at Manetsu. It is close enough to walk from the center and open until 21:00, so you can eat early and still have time to settle in before the light fades.

Walk to the Former Hagi Domain Boathouse. The structure is open to the outside at all times. Arrive here as the sky begins to shift. The sea once reached these walls, and the western-facing view offers a clear line to the horizon.

Watch the sun dip below the horizon. The golden light hits the historic timber and water just before the final moments of daylight.

Head to Grill Restaurant Kenran for dinner. Located near the Christian Martyrs Memorial Park, this spot serves Kenran Beef prepared as steak or yakiniku. It is open from 17:00 to 22:00, fitting perfectly after the sun goes down.
Local tip
The boathouse is best viewed from the outside. Check the route to Manetsu from your starting point if you are not already in the town center.
