Nodongri and Noseori grave parks
Walk to Nodongri and Noseori grave parks. These two small parks sit next to each other between the bus station and the Daerungwon burial mound. The western park, Noseori, holds 14 graves of different sizes. The eastern park, Nodongri, features graves from the 4th to 6th centuries. The low winter sun will cast long shadows across the earth mounds.

Move to Tumuli Park (Daereungwon Tomb Complex) for the main event. This historical park features large grassy burial mounds from the Silla Kingdom. The sun sets toward the WSW, illuminating the western faces of the mounds in golden light. The walk from the anchor is short enough to keep you warm.
18:17
End the evening with a hearty meal at Hyanghwa-jeong. Specializing in Gyeongju-style cockle bibimbap and Yukhoe-mulhoe, this restaurant serves generous portions in a modern Hanok setting. It is open until 21:30, giving you time to digest and reflect on the history.
Local tip
The walk between the grave parks and Tumuli Park is gentle, but the ground can be uneven. Wear sturdy shoes. The golden light at sunset is brief, so arrive at Tumuli Park with enough time to find a good angle before the sun dips below the horizon.
Check before you go
