Enter Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall right when it opens at 08:00. The park is free, and the hall itself costs ¥10. Arriving at opening ensures you have the space to yourself before the tour groups arrive.
08:45
Walk to Yuan Yuan Su Shi for a vegetarian buffet lunch. It is located just a short walk from the hall. The buffet is affordable at ¥15 and offers a mix of Western and Asian dishes. If it looks crowded on the ground floor, head upstairs where there is more seating.

Stroll over to Yuexiu Park, the largest urban park in China. It is a lush green area spanning acres of hills and lakes. Walk north from the Memorial Hall to reach this peaceful expanse. You can see the Ming Dynasty Zhenhai Tower here, which now houses the Guangzhou Museum.
