Walk to Yuntai Garden. Arrive with time to spare. The garden is open until 18:00, so you have about 40 minutes to wander among the rare flowers and trees before the main event.

Find a spot near the edge of the garden facing WSW. At 17:29 on 15 January, the golden light hits the landscape just as the sun begins its descent toward the WSW. Enjoy the warm glow before it fades.

Head to Cafe Veranda for dinner. It is open until 22:00, so it will be fully operational. Enjoy the lavish international buffet or a la carte menu to cap off the evening.
Local tip
Yuntai Garden closes at 18:00, so do not linger too long after the golden light passes. The walk back to Cafe Veranda is short, and the buffet is excellent for a relaxed end to the night.
