Arrive at Mulligans Campground. It is the starting point for several walking tracks including The Needles and Forest tracks. The area is quiet in the morning, making it a peaceful spot to begin your exploration.

Take a short walk on one of the nearby tracks, such as Little Dandahra Creek or Dandahra Crags. The campground provides access to these trails, allowing you to enjoy the local bushland without needing to travel far.

Return to the campground facilities for lunch. There are picnic tables and wood barbecues available if you have brought your own firewood, or gas barbecues which are free to use. This is a good place to rest and refuel after your walk.
Local tip
Reservations are required for camping. If you are just visiting for the day, the entry fee is $8 per vehicle. Bring your own firewood if you plan to use the wood barbecues.
