    Sinclair Lookout

    Drive 16 km west of Glen Innes on the Gwydir Highway. Turn left at the signposted off-ramp to reach Sinclair Lookout. Set up your spot near the picnic tables and shelter to watch the light change over the ranges.

    Sinclair Lookout

    Watch the golden light bathe the landscape as the sun sets toward the WSW. Use binoculars to scan the country if you brought them.

  3. 20:08

    Sinclair Lookout

    Pack up as it gets dark. Check the route back to Glen Innes for the drive home or to your next destination.

Local tip

The lookout serves as a driver rest area with toilets and litter bins, so you can stay comfortably while waiting for the light to fade.
