Timeline

  1. 15:15

    Eusebi Deli

Pick up a picnic or a warm meal from Eusebi Deli. The deli is open until 22:00, so you can grab prepared paninis, salads, or patisserie to take with you. It is a convenient spot for a sunny day in the park.

  2. 15:45

    Kelvingrove Park

Walk through Kelvingrove Park. The park stretches west with the River Kelvin running through it. Use this time to find a quiet bench or a spot with a view of the water to enjoy your food before the light changes.

  3. 16:15

    Mosaic

Arrive at the Mosaic memorial as the golden light begins. The sun sets toward the SW, illuminating the mosaic created by local primary schools in 2010 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the bonded warehouse fire. Stand in the open space to let the fading light highlight the details of the artwork.

Local tip

The walk from the deli to the park and then to the memorial is short and flat. If you prefer a drink instead of a picnic, Alpen Lodge or Kitty O'Shea's are both within a 12-minute walk of the memorial area and open until late.
